Description
An ER 650 rotary drum cutter in combination with a hydraulic rotation unit ERU 3 is being used to cut out safety areas in the rock at an angle of 45 degrees to the tunnel in Thuringia, Germany.
In this application, the ER 650-3 is mounted on a standard 25 ton Liebherr excavator. The use of the Erkat rotation unit from the ERU range made a significant improvement to productivity in this application.
