This foundation, just in the middle of the spa town Bad Wildbad and right next to the edge of a slope, had to be excavated. The first layer consisted of loose soil and small rocks. Proceeding to the second layer revealed weathered and jointed gneiss and granite.
The third layer contained highly compacted, dense gneiss and granite (red and white) without any fissures or cracks. The Doosan DX 300 was attached with an Erkat
ER 1500-3. A working surface had to be prepared by cutting a half moon profile into the rock. Dust was suppressed by using water spray.
